Happiness Pie!

The day of our engagement was the happiest day of my life thus far. It was New Years day, a beautiful crisp Colorado morning. We rode the ski lift to the very top of Copper Mountain, to start our new year off with fresh ski tracks. Little did I know that Aaron had something so special planned. He surprised me with a cute little picnic that he had brought in his backpack, complete with baileys and a blanket to keep me warm. As he was setting out all the yummy treats, I was too busy trying to stay warm to realize that he had gotten on one knee. He made me cry with his sweet and tender words, and I completely lost it when he presented me with the ring that his father had given to his mother. He told me he had met with my father to get his blessing, and it made me cry a little more. It was the happiest moment of my life, and our tears of joy will be something that I always cherish. I can't wait to exchange our vows and embark on our lifelong adventure together.
